I tried Uniregstry out after seeing their numbers increasing on this web site, but I was not a big fan. First, their pricing is more than at other registrars. I have read that they offer special deals, but only if you contact them and prove you are worth it. Second, I emailed them with a basic question regarding transfers and my first email was ignored for over 48 hours, and my second, which was replied to within a few hours, was obviously a cut-and-paste from some other issue having very little to do with my question. Third, they seem very interested in upselling new gTLDs that I have no interest in. I understand they are the registry behind those TLDs, but I just wish they had not been so pushy trying to get me to register domains I did not want. Finally, while their site is visually appealing, especially on my mobile device, I find it difficult to navigate and to perform basic updates. All-in-all, there are definitely worse options out there (such as Go Daddy, Register.com and Domain.com), but, for me, Uniregistry is more about fluff and upselling than in delivering good prices and efficient support.

I tried Uniregistry out after reading good things about them on a forum I go to a lot. Unfortunately, as was the critique with several posters on that forum who ended up annoyed, Uniregistry employs a very deceptive pricing technique in that they do not publish their best prices on their site. They instead request that people contact them to prove some kind of threshold before they will offer their best pricing. Companies can of course operate in any way they want, but I'll stick with my personal registrar of choice (NameSilo) who publishes their prices upfront. I am so tired of registrars and their pricing gimmicks that, even though I liked Uniregistry's control panel and fresh design, I will choose to avoid them.
